Countdown to 2008 Fair

About Us

Located on 165 acres in southeast Fresno, The Big Fresno Fair comes to life each October to host nearly 575,000 people from throughout the state.  This year's fair will be a 13-day event!

Founded in 1884, the Fair has grown exponentially over the years and is now the fifth largest fair in the State and the biggest event in the Central Valley! The Big Fresno Fair represents the 21st District Agricultural Association and is governed by a Board of Directors that is appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger’s office.

The mission of The Big Fresno Fair is to educate, celebrate, entertain, enhance community pride and showcase the bountiful assets of Fresno County and the Central Valley by providing – through partnerships –a safe, clean and pleasing environment for a culturally diverse audience year-round.  This year, the Fair celebrates 125 years of providing affordable family fun entertainment through its variety of exhibits, live horse racing, great food, thrilling rides and the best entertainment.
