This show is a must-see for dog lovers! Sun Maid Kennel Club is a group of dog experts that work towards the advancement of purebreds. The event, which will be held March 13 & 14 at the Brian I. Tatarian Grandstand in the Infield grass area at the Fresno Fairgrounds, will include obstacle courses for the different classes and height levels of these talented canines. Don’t miss out as the dogs compete to earn points towards the national championship agility trials! Registration begins at 6 a.m. and doors open at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
The 3rd Annual Mini Landscape Competition kicked of today at the opening of the Fresno Home & Garden Show. All entries will remain on display in the Landscape Pavilion during the entire Home & Garden Show. Youth between the ages of 5 and 18 have assembled their best “mini landscapes” that are judged by local professional landscapers. There will be a first place winner for every age group and the high school contestants can qualify to win a scholarship award. The contest theme this year is open and students were encouraged to let their imaginations run wild!
Home & Garden Show organizers have teamed up with H&E Nursery to offer a Kid’s Gardening Area at this year’s show, which will be held March 5 – 7. This new, family-oriented feature will encourage kids and parents alike to get involved with this hands-on learning experience. Kids will have the opportunity to plant their own flowers with materials and supplies provided by H&E Nursery. The experts from the Master Gardener’s Youth Gardening Committee will also be on hand to give some extra guidance to the young green thumbs.
24th Annual Home & Garden Show will be held March 5 - 7 at the Fresno Fairgrounds and will be offering a variety of How-To Seminars that will be open to the public for FREE with paid admission. Organizers have recruited some of the industries best to give you the direction you need to do some of those projects yourself. Seminars will be on a variety of topics and can provide the information you need to get your next home project done.

The Big Fresno Fair received 15 awards at the 87th Annual Western Fairs Association (WFA) Achievement Awards that was held in Reno, Nevada, January 24th – 27th, 2010, in addition to Fair CEO John C. Alkire being inducted into the WFA Hall of Fame.
