Each year, the Fresno Bee's Newspapers In Education department (NIE) provides thousands of teachers and students throughout the Valley with class sets of the Bee along with standards-based supplemental curriculum. Our curriculum covers a wide range of disciplinary areas such as math, language arts, social studies, history, diversity and much more.

The Beyond the Midway curriculum offered each year during Fair Education Week has been made available to teachers through the cooperative efforts of the Bee's NIE department and the Big Fresno Fair Education Committee.

Beyond the Midway is an ideal way to get the most educational value from a field trip to the fair. It will benefit the participating students, teachers, chaperones, parents and families. The intent is to perpetuate an appreciation of our agricultural quality and diversity, the creativeness of individuals and families and the diligence required to produce award-winning agricultural products, livestock and individual handiwork and art.
