Our policy is approved by our Chief Executive Officer, John C. Alkire, who delegates the responsibility of issuing media credentials to The Big Fresno Fair Communications Department.

This Policy Is Necessary In Order To:

1. Accommodate working media quickly and efficiently.
2. Protect Fairgoers from being approached by representatives working on commercial projects or unauthorized projects who may present themselves as journalists to the public.
3. Assist Fair personnel in quickly identifying reporters cleared for access and media privileges.
4. Screen-out non-affiliated persons seeking media privileges.

Requesting Media Credentials:
Any media personnel that will need media credentials for the 2008 Big Fresno Fair must submit a request for credentials by Friday, September 4, 2009. Please provide a list of names and titles along with your station’s logo; send to fairpr@fresnofair.com.

NOTE: New this year, the Fair will be putting the station logo on all media credentials along with reporter/staff names instead of individual photos. Media staff must wear their station credentials as well so we can verify picture with name on Fair media credential if necessary. This new process was put into place this year to try and streamline the media credential process.

Media Credential Policy:
Media credentials used for purposes other than to conduct work while at the Fairgrounds may be revoked. This includes persons not authorized to use or have these credentials. Credentials may not be used outside of the scope of covering the Fair as a news assignment.

Media Credential Distribution
Media credentials will be dropped off/mailed by Friday, September 25, 2009.

You may also pick up your station media credentials at the Communications Department, located at the Fresno Fairgrounds, 1121 S. Chance Avenue, Fresno CA 93702.
